But no social viewing until later this year.Facebook promised to make VR a lot more social back in May when the $199 Oculus Go debuted, announcing a handful of new apps to bring people together while goggled in. Oculus Venues, a live event viewing platform that mixes large crowds of virtual avatars and streaming video, was the first. Oculus TV is the second, and it's now available on Oculus Go (but not Samsung Gear VR) with a bunch of new video streaming apps. It aims to be a central place to find all the streaming videos to watch when you have your VR headset on your face. But it doesn't have the most promising feature yet: social viewing with Oculus friends won't arrive until later this year. For now, it's a solo experience. Do I want this? Well, I tried it out over the weekend. Oculus TV is all about old-fashioned, flat-screen 2D entertainment, but viewed in your otherwise 3D VR goggles. I've been using it over the weekend, and while it's a fine way to check out a show, watching 2D videos in VR just isn't something I need to do.
There are already plenty of ways to watch videos and movies in Oculus' mobile headsets: Oculus Video, which looks like a giant movie theater, was a launch app when the Gear VR arrived in 2014. Standalone Netflix, Hulu, Showtime, Pluto and other apps browse streaming video, too.

[DIGITAL TRENDS] Finally, an A.I. voice assistant that doesn’t collect and monetize your data4/17/2018 Science fiction is full of sinister sentient computers. The most famous is, of course, HAL 9000, the artificially intelligent ship’s computer from 2001: A Space Odyssey, which gains self awareness and sets about murdering its crew. But HAL’s got some equally villainous pals — such as the Ultimate Computer from Superman III, Proteus IV from Demon Seed, Colossus from The Forbin Project, and, of course, Skynet from Terminator.
However, while silver screen A.I. is almost always evil, science fiction does have at least one sentient computer that isn’t so sinister. Mike (an abbreviation of Mycroft, the name of Sherlock Holmes’ brother) is a fun-loving supercomputer from Robert Heinlein’s classic sci-fi novel, The Moon is a Harsh Mistress. A character as far removed from the cold, austere as HAL as is possible, Mike becomes the best friend of the book’s narrator, and a key driver in the fight for freedom in the novel’s lunar society. He is a sentient supercomputer on humanity’s side. Here in reality, we don’t have a sentient computer that’s truly on our side — but we might, soon. The Mycroft Mark II, as it’s called, is a new smart speaker that recently landed on Kickstarter, and, unlike the more familiar models such as the Amazon Echo and Google Home, this one has our best interests in mind. Or so its creator, Kansas-based creator Joshua Montgomery is keen to stress. Montgomery’s goal with Mycroft is to build an open source alternative to the big tech giants’ A.I. assistants, and one that promises to protect your privacy in the process. “[Companies like Google and Amazon want to] wall you into an ecosystem that they control, and then monetize you,” he told Digital Trends. “Our goal is to provide you with the best experience possible. We want to build a technology that represents you.” Want a way to workout and earn some coin? Sweatcoin has risen to the top of the App Store for helping folks get something more than just a glow for taking those daily steps.
The startup says it has accumulated more than 5 million users in the past year and increased revenue by 266 percent in the last quarter. There are more than 2 million weekly active users on the app, and growing, making it one of the fastest-growing fitness apps in the App Store and second to the top in the free apps, next only to the Google Arts & Culture app that blew up over the weekend. It works like this: users sign up and then hook up their smartphone’s health and fitness data and GPS location to the app. The app then tracks how many steps you take in a day and rewards you a monetary “sweat” value according to your movements. For every 1,000 steps recorded, the app will pay out .95 in “sweatcoins.” Users can later trade these coins in for fitness gear, workout classes, gift cards and a number of other offerings.

Similar to Avon, Seytu has various distributors and sellers all over the world. Seytu, amongst other generic brands, launched the new mirror and light lip gloss. What's so special about this gloss? You might ask. Well this gloss has a mirror and a light integrated LOL. Any who, this nifty cosmetic is available in other brands from $5 to $30 dlls. Seytu sells this lip gloss for about $10 dllrs and it comes in 6 colors. The formula itself is enriched with Vitamin E and has a smooth, non-sticky texture. The hue of my choosing was Juicy Apple, not my favorite color for a day time activity, however a perfect coat for a night out. The light and mirror integrated in the lip gloss, believe it or not, comes in very useful for a night time soire such as a bar or a club. Your lips can be seen with clarity if you turn on the light to apply your lip color, honestly I didn't think it would come in this handy. So yeah, if you are kind of gal that practically lives at the clubs during the weekend, then you might wan to purchase this new innovation. Click here to check out Seytu. Todays reading might be a little off topic for some of my readers. I'm not a fan of beauty reviews or cosmetics for that matter, however I am a keen admirer of marketing, branding, and world trends. Within those trends include entertainment, beauty (general) and fashion. Having that said, I'm sure every beauty maven is aware of the reality sensation Kardashian/Jenner family and their projects. Kylie Jenner, the youngest of the Kardashian/Jenner family, has made a name for herself by launching a line of cosmetics. Evidently, these cosmetics are todays must-have due to Kylie's famous look, voluptuous lips and body. Kylie's lip kits have become so famous, its almost impossible to avoid any kind of advertising of thee. Thus having that said, these lip kits are so popular my 14 year old sister purchased a couple of sets and, yes I decided to try them and see what all the fuzz is about. Aside from the product itself, I do admire the audacity of this brand. The names for each lip hue are definitely striking, and so is the brand in general. The tones for each lip set are definitely trending and there is a wide range of choices one can pick from. The colors my younger sister purchased are named Kristen and Mary Jo K (named after Kylie's grandmother). Mary Jo K is an obscure vermillion, borderline burgundy and to be honest I loved that hue. It paired my pale skin perfectly along with my brown/blonde ombre hairstyle.
