Hello, everyone! Today I will be sharing a very different and selfless post. I hope this info reaches out to your heart and I convince you to help a very special person!

Surely most people reading this post have tried numerous skin care products. You might have tried acne products, anti aging products, skin brightening products..... you name it. Not to mention the avant-garde topical products such as nano technologic products or Korean-based skincare. Don't get me wrong, everything works if you are a healthy person. This means if you consume your daily intake of water, all the proper substituents (food) with all the necessary vitamins then any product you purchase in any place, will work, here is the catch: You can't trust every single company that makes them.
Thus if you really think about it, nothing is safe. Why? simple, you don't know what is going on in that company. Surely this sounds paranoid, you have to purchase products somehow right? However, as some readers might know, I've worked for various companies as a marketing coordinator. The last company I worked for in this position happens to be a popular skincare company. Yes, I have seen what goes on backstage and is not a pretty sight. I won't mention the name of the company I worked for since it would not be professional, however, I will tell you an example of how any product you purchase could be damaged and could cause serious consequences to your skin. Surely the majority of people have heard at least once of the famed Napa Valley, in California. In Mexico we too have a famed valley of vineyards called Valle De Guadalupe, meaning in English "Valley of Guadalupe".
Well for all wine connoisseurs out there, I'd like to share my experience in Valle de Guadalupe, since we have wine tasting experiences slightly different in Mexico. Thus may if I may specify, going with true wine connoisseurs or with your parents, changes the experience. This case scenario is my cousin's Valerias birthday (24), so our trip was expected to be fun, with a hint of wild, garnished with lovely views and conversations.
Hello,
My name is Ivette Corona, welcome to my first blog post. I never intended for this site to be a blog or to publish any "blog posts", however, I am unemployed at the moment and not only do I have a lot of free time in my hands, but alongside the journey of my professional and personal life, I believe there are a lot of useful life hacks I know that I'd like to share to anyone who reads anything on the internet (like myself). First things first, I might have exaggerated with the title "Learn a language in 1 month" not by much, though, I did manage to learn Portuguese in 2 months on my own, at the comfort of my home. Aside from Portuguese I also speak Spanish (As my first language), French and I'm currently learning Russian and Mandarin…. True statement. On this post, I will not only show you the little hacks to achieve all these learning techniques, but I will also give you the FREE resources I myself have used…. Why? Because I'm awesome. Before we get started, I'm going to slap you in the face with a little thing called REALITY. Learning a new language might not be a difficult task for some people, it is however, a lot of practice and dedication. If there'd be a possibility to learn a language by osmosis, trust me I've done it already. Good news, though! This is probably the closest you'll get to osmosis. … Ok, enough babbling. Let's get started. The key to learning any language of your taste is to first understand the language structure, the language base or the language family as properly named. Cool, so I will not tell you about every single language family and how it works (because their are just too many), you can do that yourself by researching. Google would be a good place to start that first homework of yours. I will show you a couple of examples, though. Take a look at the mental map below.
This is the Indo-European language tree, or part of it at least, it's not complete but It'll help getting to the point so bear with me.
Let's start with the easiest languages of all, on a personal point of view. The Latin family. You will see in this branch all of what people call "romantic languages" or "sensual languages" by popular choice. What does this mean? This means that all the tongues you see within this branch will have a similar grammar structure, similar prefixes, similar spelling and maybe similar pronunciation. Having that said, if you already speak Spanish for example, you will have no difficulty at all learning French, Italian, Portuguese or any of the lingos you see within that branch. Why? Well as it is self-explanatory, you are already familiar with the basic structure. Cool, now that we got that mini explanation out of the way, you probably by now know there are language families based per continent. If you wanna learn for example Korean. You first might want to do a little research on its language family before jumping into the learning part. Now, let us get to the fun part which is learning, memorizing and practicing. For this next phase, you really have to know yourself and your strengths as a student. For example, I am an auditive and visual person which means I like to listen to the language first then visualizing before getting or practice. However this is not enough, to get to learn the whole language you need to practice in all kinds of ways there for id recommend training on all methods possible. The Pimsleur method Paul Pimsleur was a scholar in the field of applied linguistics. He developed the Pimsleur language learning system, which, along with his many publications, had a significant effect upon theories of language learning and teaching, according to Wikipedia. This Linguist/Physiologist created what we now know the Pimsleur Language Learning System in which the main technique is spaced repetition. What is "spaced repetition"? Spaced repetition is a learning technique that incorporates increasing intervals of time between subsequent review of previously learned material in order to exploit the psychological spacing effect. Wikipedia. For those of you who didn't fully comprehend the text above here, it is in simplified English. You basically learn context and practice it by repetition. As you escalate the learning process, the repetition process also escalates from the beginning. Making this learning technique one of the best for long-term memory. So let's say you learn 5 phrases on your first lesson, on the second lesson you will not only learn another 5 new phrases but you will also repeat the 5 phrases you learned on your first lesson. On the third lesson, you will learn new content and repeat the content from the previous lesson and so on and so forth. This learning technique became so famous that getting your hands on a Pimsleur course could cost hundreds of dollars per language, I've managed to get my hands on 32 languages of the Pimsleur method and because I believe education should have no cost, I want to share them with people who have the same vision as I do. Putting 32 language audio files in one place takes a long time, so I've only uploaded 10. If you are seeking a lesson and the files are not there, feel free to write a comment on this post with the language that you wish to learn or shoot me an email and will upload that language. This is an auditory course. What I like to do is transfer lesson by lesson to my Itunes and subsequently transfer that lesson to my iPhone. To get the best of this learning technique, listen to a lesson on your sleep before actually learning it on your wake. Applying this extra step will get you familiarized to the language within your subconscious and believe I or not, it works! I did this with my first lesson in Russian and when I woke up to practice fully, I already understood the whole lesson and my pronunciation was on point. Get the files HERE Language Cell Phone Apps Surely many of you are already familiar with some of these applications. But seriously what better way to learn something in this digital era if it's not from the comfort of your cellphone or tablet? My favorite application is definitely Duolingo and for those of you who are not familiar with it. Check it out at Duolingo.com or download it to your phone. This amazing app helps you set your daily goals and you can learn as many languages you want at the time. The only downside to this app is the lack of languages. You will, however, find a lot of popular tongues.
Another popular application out there is Mondly. You can check out www.mondlylanguages.com. This nifty site contains more languages than Duolingo however, Mondly does cost about $20 to access one full language or $25 to access 33 languages.
My intention is not to make this post eternal, thus I will conclude this script with some research and practice tips.
On your app store on whatever mobile device you own, type on the search bar "learning the language" or the name of the patois you seek to learn. Several applications will pop up and the only way to find out if they are a right fit for your needs it's to test them out. I myself own a few Free Mandarin learning apps that help me practice popular phrases on a daily basis. Remember that practice makes perfect, if you are a busy person, try to set at least 1 day of the week to do your exercises. Your ability to fully remember and comprehend the tongue will solely depend on you. If you need any help or have any questions feel free to type a comment or shoot me an email. Good Luck! |
